Got two, yes two!, unbuilt Saltford models kits arriving soon, will doncument there progress here
I've got a ruston and a O&K 'Koppel' with speed controller coming Will get pics when they arrive
Any tips about these 'kits' (or whitemetal castings )

Nice one - are they from "Invercloy"?

They're not so much "kits" as "scratch-aids" Containing the whitemetal detailing parts (and in some cases cast whitemetal wheels!!!! ) along with a list of plasticard sheet thicknesses required and drawings for marking out and cutting. - My how the hobby has changed!

Very satisfying to actually complete one, and if you change your mind about the Ruston, you can throw it my way!

I built two Saltford locos in my youth - good fun, if rather a different experience from today's kits. My Simplex successfully made quite a number of circuits of Pendo's line. Building is no great problem so long as you don't expect them to be like an IP kit.

Measure carefully! Cut carefully! Bits of square plastic rod or plastic angle are jolly useful for reinforcing corners. Add plenty of weight. And have fun - look forward to the photos.
