Nowa Wies Mochy April 2008

Post by Chris Cairns » Wed May 07, 2008 9:29 pm

OK, here is another video clip from my new digital camera.

This is the last regular standard gauge timetabled steam in Continental Europe I believe, and the trains to Leszno were only working one way with steam this morning and had been replaced by diesel for the rest of the week. There is still 2 trains a day steam hauled to Poznan from Wolsztyn, but the shed only had 2 working OL49s. Rest of locos were being repaired/serviced for the annual May Day parade.

You'll hear how sensitive this camera is, as my Canon T90 clicks away, and my fellow German enthusiast clicks away on his digital camera.

Watch out for the old style manual operated barriers, as there are few of these now remaining. And I was amazed to see the camera picture shaking as the train passes as it was mounted on a tripod - the earth does indeed move!

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoyed it.
