I also had to take another look at that! the loco looks absolutely fantastic now with red cranks!

The brass tube is actually copped, and it contains a wire. The wire inside is the positive and the tube itself is the ground. The power supplies the lights which work. The lamps are also removable and interchangeable. Currently the loco has a headlamp on the front and tail lamp on the rear, but when i get my coaches back they will be fitted with sockets to take the lamps as well.

Ahha I see now, I thought it was brass as it looks like the K and S brass tubing I use for my brake hose stands.

First sunday of February and though the weather was better than it has been these last few days, it was pretty quiet at the BGRA.

As ever David brought along an interesting selection of stock....

This Jane ran like a dream!

Sir Haydn brought this pair, seeing the Ffestimod in the flesh for the first time was a real treat! The rivet detail especially is impressive..

There was this nice looking Darj with the crew braving the elephants, sorry elements,

And finally Victoria travelled light engine from the W&L to collect some coaches for restoration after a previously agreed deal with Maxnod - where she promptly FAILED

with a blocked gas jet.

As usual, it was all hands to the pump and she was soon steaming like a good 'un, hauling the newly aquired stock back to Pentrich Sidings. (Hurrah for bent paper clip couplings!)

I quite like Matts idea of leaving the doors off and fitting safety chains.
A rake of wooden seat semi-opens would be quite appropriate for "ex - Loscoe Grange Brickworks workers coaches"
