Long Weekend

Post by SillyBilly » Wed Mar 12, 2008 10:28 pm

Hello,
Just thought I'd let you know that I'm off to the Lakes tommorrow coming back on Sunday evening. I'm looking forward to visiting the ANLR (laalrattys line) on Saturday (slowly working my way through these northern railways :) ). I don't think my Grandad is on broadband yet, so I shan't be on much.

I went to the PTLR when I was up in the summer, I don't think our tight schedule (and dad's patience) will allow for another day of trains.

Look forward to seeing you, ive had three of the people I asked to come saying that they are, including both of the other Edrig owners, plus the other guy confirmed coming is looking at buying an edrig, so Isabelle will find itself under a bit of scrutiny I think to see what its like. I spent the whole of this afternoon tidying the garden- im sure its never been so tidy 8)
look forward to the inevertable triple headed edrig train :D

Spent a great afternoon watching three Edrigs charge up laalratty's steep gradients, wouldn't of missed it for anything. Lots of YouTube talk so look out for videos (mine on Monday when I get back). Thank You for a superb time mate.

Your welcome 8) Looking forward to the return visit to the SHR. Unfortunatly SLRmidge (aka Ian) has decided to tarnish my railways reputation by emailing his mates the video of the "reverse slip coach working"*. The worst thing is its actually funny.

* This happened when the last carriage on a train departing Afallen decoupled, leaving it in the platform. To try to get it to catch up with the rest of the train so that it could be recoupled, I pushed it. On this video, the train goes past, followed 2 seconds later by a freewheeling carriage!
