Its alright i supose.
but i dont like the 7/8ths style.

I cant seem to find the perfect coal fired loco.

DJB emma- nice, but way overscale
DJB fowler- very nice, but expensive
sabre anette- i dont like lady annes
sabre anabele- 7/8ths
TME- perfect! but an unholy amount of money
DJB Robert- Looks prefect! very attractive, oh wait its a kit :x

Cant there be a rtr, or simple kit, that doesnt use r/h wals valve gear (its really boring), is an attractive little tank loco, but has plenty of nice detail.

Personally, my ideal coal fired loco L&B 2-6-2, or a quarry husnlet in the style Covertcoat is now.

No conversions, but a new one is under £3000 IIRC.

The Jack in my avatar is coal-fired, with a Fowler tender. It carries water in the tender and the saddle tank.

Surely if you're supposidly capable of converting your Edrig to coal, then building a Robert won't be too much trouble?

but the kit involves things like folding and soldering that i fear i will probs bu99er up. they do offer a service for folding etc, but thats extra sponds
