As you can see, I visited a cold, very cold steam up at the LLR (so cold Columbine wouldnt fire up! [The gas froze... :? ]) and there was 2 Edrigs running, mine, and a green one with draincocks etc... Very nice...

So will I, this one has draincocks like the Tag Gorton book describes, works well. I may do it like that...

So that's not DJB ones? That's the Tag ones working in the pics? I didn't expect them to be that good!

Ah well, its the 'Tag' type, but Brian wanted the pipe over the boiler... They certainly make a lot of steam! They r great!

Fantastic vids there, espcially the PTLR staff let loose all over northern england! Though i'm glad that the visit to my line came before the visit to the pub
Regarding draincocks, i'd Have thought that the Tag gorton way would be quite attractive but a very good way of losing all of your steam pressure, not like the real working DJB ones

WHATS THAT COMING OVER THE HILL? IS IT A MONSTER? :D :D :D :D :D .

I love that song!

Great videos PTLRcecil, and mhlr. The first one from ptlrcecil reminded me of my 12th brithday. One of my railway friends (a retired Vicar), took me down to stay with his mother over a weekend just after my brithday. The brilliant thing was that my friends mother lived just a few hundred metre walk to Heywood station on the East Lancs Railway :D . That was one of the best brithday presents I've ever been given.
Garden Railways-best hobby in the world.

the draincocks work fine, instead of the water coming out the little valve on the bottom, it comes out the front, and u can let some pressure off if you need to... (Brian had to today, built too much up).
