My original obviously can be successfully printed, but better to make available one that doesn’t cause the slicer software to flag an error. The slightly reduced file size is also beneficial.

Almost everything that comes out of Meshy has errors.
I'm stuck into a month's subscription and have been using it to the maximum. So far I've downloaded almost 500 STLs and only two have been free of errors.
The fastest and easiest way to solve that is to load the mesh into MS 3D Builder, then it's only two clicks to repair the file and save it for further use.

FWIW Everything that's come out of Tripo has been fine.
I’ll have to give Tripo a try. How does it compare with Meshy for producing lifelike figures and realistic objects?

Great tip for MS 3D Builder. Unfortunately I’d need to add an additional step of buying a PC and installing Windows as a Mac user :roll:

I'd never heard of Tripo until Paul mentioned it here. I've just joined as free account and cut 'n pasted a prompt I put into Gemini a couple of weeks ago.
The prompt is," Please create a high definition photo-realistic image of a Welsh 1900's working locomotive fireman, aged about 30 with a weather beaten face, slim build but muscular arms. He should have rolled up sleeves on an open necked shirt with a neckerchief but no tie, wearing scruffy worn trousers reaching down over his boots. Show him standing straight up but with slightly spread legs and with arms outstretched sideways and palms must be facing forward with spread fingers. Show no background but have him on plain white with no shadows."

This is what Gemini gave me on the left and Tripo on the right.

Tripo's black background makes it difficult to see some detail, but I haven't played to see if that is customisable. The two figures are remarkably similar in most details, even to the extent of both ignoring the instruction that the palms must face forwards! - they must both trawl the same sites!

This is the Tripo version in Chitubox:

I haven’t had a subscription to Tripo, so I can’t really comment on the full options available and I’ve only used the single photo prompt option.
Like Meshy it’s somewhat hit and miss, some remarkable creations, some just dreadful.
It seems more dependant on the quality of input, the better the photo prompt, the better the result.

If you choose to try it out be prepared with some good photo prompts as when you sign up you get a short period (30mins) of access to their full service (Ultra resolution) (that’s now listed as a single try). That could allow you time to build one good full res models.
After that you’re limited to low res work, but that may still be of value.

Whilst it may work out cheaper than Meshy, the lack of free retries might not be such good value. It also seems a lot slower to generate, although that might be better for full subscribers.

That seems pretty good from the text prompt, especially the Gemini image.
I tried the same text prompt in Meshy;

Meshy (and other AI like Gemini) seems have problems generating decent male working footwear. So often producing these longer lace ups that aren't often seen in the UK and won't accept they're wrong. Too much training on US images I assume.
The palms seem over exaggerated too.
Some of the retries aren't much use and don't look anything like the 1900s, more 2000 :-(

Using the Gemini photo as a prompt in Meshy worked far better;

Not really important.
