It seems you weren't the only one musing on containers on narrow gauge - I've just spotted that Plateway have kits for both Type A and Type B containers - another option for anyone who fancies containerising their railway...
That's interesting. I had no idea they produced them. I wonder what prompted them to create them. I've not (yet) come across any Ng railways that used them. They look quite reasonably priced, too.

BTW mine are 15mm scale so they need to be scaled up by 107% for 16mm scale. Mind you, they might better fit tighter loading gauges in 15mm scale

I didn't spot that, and I've started printing one. But yes, that small reduction in the standard width (7.625mm I make it) might turn out to be an advantage for me when it comes to using it as a load...

The Plateway containers, incidentally, are much more elastic with the scale. They have a massive reduction in the standard width of 42mm! (I make 7' 7 1/2" 122mm in 16mm scale and they Plateway models say they are 80mm, which of course fits much more readily into a range of the wagons in our scale).
