Using Repetier-Host

Post by GAP » Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:25 pm

After seeing a post by philipy where he mentioned Repetier-Host in https://gardenrails.org/forum/viewtopic ... 1&start=20 (Nov 13 2023) I became curious about what it was.
I had a quick read of the blurb on the Repetier website about Repetier-Host and it looks like it is all an singing all dancing piece of software.
The impression I get is that it could perhaps allow me to replace my Cura slicer (Cura Engine is built in)and Octoprint using Repetier-Server.
This may be worth further investigation.

Yep it does appear to do all sorts, but I've never really investigated, I only ever use it for it's repair ability. .Do a drawing -> export stl--> run it through Repetier, -->re export stl --> transfer to slicer. I do the same routine for both resin and fdm, but obviously use either Chitubox or Cura as appropriate.

I'm not sure that Repetier can do what you are asking but there was a thread which included this subject, not too long ago. https://gardenrails.org/forum/viewtopic ... ri#p173710
