Using the new "2.4" Radios

Post by coupe » Sun Jun 14, 2009 3:06 am

I would like to use one of the new 2.4 radios to control a steam loco (Mortimer) but can anyone tell me where to place the antenna. With the old 75 radios I just drape the wire wherever works.

The same principles (concerning the aerial, anyway) apply as with the AM and FM systems ;)

You should be able to place the aerial anywhere (within reason!) on the loco as 2.4 GHz doesn't suffer from the rusty bolt effect.

Thanks for the input. The antenna seems to be non-metallic, is that so?
