New quarry engine
New quarry engine
With no line to run, my stock building is key focus - I should really be just building wagons to build up the number I have BUT I do like a loco - so I’ve had a go at a Phil Sharples mini Jack kit - it just needs the electrics fitting and ready to go - including real crushed coal!

Where did I put that uncoupler?
Re: New quarry engine
Nice one, Mark. Reminds me (sort of) of the Guinness Brewery engines.

Re: New quarry engine
Indoor shunting layout required for that loco
Using Deltang that could run R/C as well.

Re: New quarry engine
A very handsome loco with some very nice details,And most of all not to expensive, Must get on to finish some of my projects!
Re: New quarry engine
Agree with Tom, put it on an indoor line. It would look great pulling some beer barrels....

Yes - its funny you should say that! If we end up renting, that's the route I'm going down as a temp measure - Tony Hill's (now sold ) Melin Llechi is an inspiration - I have wondered about starting some of the boards for the fabled garage section of CHLR mk2tom_tom_go wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 9:42 am Indoor shunting layout required for that loco

And yes, will make sure its 'deltangable' - there is a discussion on F/B at the mo about making a plug in and out receiver unit so we can swap between locos easily - Phil at RC is involved via his Mrs

Now I have remembered my username (and reset my password) on here... Again! ;-}
I will try to drop in more often..

Tom, is there a way to get 'newest posts' to appear as top of the queue, at index level? - I tend to eventually read everything, but it is nice to see the most recent postings first.

Re: New quarry engine
That's really, really nice!
Re: New quarry engine
Thanks guys - it’s taken a while to get it balanced weight wise but it is now running sweet - as you say Tom a great shunting engine for a few sidings - a bit under powered for the main line
