Open day on the Coniston Railway

Just thought I'd post a few piccies up of todays running session on the coniston railway.

Gussie awaits the fire lighters at Coniston.

It makes more smoke than the steamers. And more noise than a bachman sound unit.

If anyone can superimpose backgrounds feel free.

Damn and blast, that is one railway I have not yet managed to visit and I really would like to. However I was playing on the real thing (15inch) today. Nice pics by the way, found it quite funny that the diesel is making more smoke than the steamers, the diesel on the P-way train at Windmill farm (and you thought I was going to say Ravenglass) was making LOADS more smoke that you would even see from a steamer

Having driven that engine at PTLR midsummer nights steam a couple of years ago, i can confirm it is a Roundhouse Linda, and a most excellent engine it is too

I must also say that the railway looks lovely, complemented I'm sure by the very good photos, the one of the Linda down the side of the shed is spot on.

Well, I've had a go...not completely sure it works, though

For the record, the background is a view from the Great Orme in Llandudno. Must be an engine shed in a very high place...!
