January Blues Steam Up on the SLR

Post by SLRmidge » Sun Jan 18, 2009 4:33 pm

I decided to have a 'steam up' today to rid us of the January blues (all blue locos were banned from running). Considering the weather, which was on the chilly side of  freezing, we had a good turn out. Amongst others there were PTLRcecil, LMSJools & Laalratty. Some pics of the afternoon......

And a couple of pics for SillyBilly.................................

The Taliesin ran beautifully & was apparently only its second run since being purchased by Mr M.

Nice pics :) It's great to see a Taliesin at work, it certainly looks like a beautiful model. Really needs lining to finish it off though... :P

Taliesin :o , thanks Ian, you've made my day. I hope the owner can be enticed to come to a steam up when I am up in your neck of the woods.

Oh yes. That taliesin was a show stopper. The pictures really do not do it justice, it was strong as an ox and ran like a swiss watch.

Same happy chappy who owns the archangel double fairlie that turned up at PTLRfest a couple of years back. I do know his name but you know how some people feel about real names and the internet.
