Reprogramming Deltang Rx102 receivers
Reprogramming Deltang Rx102 receivers
Hi y'all
Not sure if this is the right section but couldn't figure out where else to put it as it could be applicable to live steam and electric locos. I decided to post a new and improved guide to reprogramming the Deltang Rx102 receiver on my blog as the previous one was out of date and incomplete.
The RX102 normally has servo outputs on Pins 1-5 and directional lighting outputs on Pins 6 and 7. However, these can be reprogrammed to provide on/off outputs for lighting or other gadgets switched from the transmitter - or can be used to provide switched 0v outputs to act as triggers for soundcards such as the MyLocoSound card.
This Blog Post takes you through the process of reprogramming an Rx102 using a Prog4 programma module (£15). - https://riksrailway.blogspot.co.uk/2018 ... -with.html
I am considering making a video showing the process, but it will have to be a combination of screen grabs and live action so will take a little while to create. I'm also planning on showing how the programming can be done with a Prog3 which is a bit more laborious but doesn't require any computer know-how.
Hope some of you find it useful.
Rik

Thanks Rik.
Moved to help section and made the topic a sticky for future reference to help those starting out with Deltang.

Another in the series of how to program Rx102 receivers. This shows how it can be done with a Prog3, which doesn't require any computer expertise.
Firstly the video
And then the blog post (which makes more sense if you watch the video first)

Now posted how to make the outputs from the receiver latching using a cheap bistable module - http://riksrailway.blogspot.com/2018/02 ... utput.html

That looks very interesting Rik, thanks.
