Windows 10 photo resizer

Post by Howardws » Sun Aug 23, 2015 2:35 pm

I started putting in an update about my railway just now but can't work out how to resize photos with Windows 10. Can anyone help please?

You can resize them in Paint (look under windows accessories in All Apps). Resize is an option on the 'Home' tab. I would suggest saving them with another file name so you preserve the original - not sure how 'lossy' the reduction is.

Mine won't post upright (except by good luck!) Despite being the right way up in my pictures folder they post on their side on here! :error:

Whatever you take your photos with (be it phone or camera), it produces a dataset called exif information, which specifies the orientation of the image. Your computer reads this information when it displays the images, and so shows them the right way round. I notice you are uploading your images directly to the forum gallery - I suspect that does not read the exif info. Try loading your photos to photobucket or some other online storage first, and then copying the link into your posts.
