Winster Valley Railway, by Meifod 2000

Post by TommyDodd » Tue May 27, 2014 1:11 pm

Does anyone know who "Meifod 2000" are? I ask because I've just watched and thoroughly enjoyed a DVD production of theirs- "A visit to the Winster Valley Railway- Part 2". This was a borrowed copy, so I'd like one of my own, and part 1 of course if it's there to be had.
Well, now we know the buffer-stops work! (Heard at 2013 "Longest Day" solstice steamup)

Oh yes he is ;) DVT dweller is the guy you want. He kindly sent me the part 2 DVD, after I'd already seen part 1.

"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

It's actually DVT Dwellers dad who made the two films. Both well worth watching. Unfortunately a railway that closed just as I started.

Yeah, I realise that now having been on the Facebook groups.

I think I was also just getting into garden railways when the WVR closed, as indeed were LMSjools and SLRmidge.
