Re: New Station Building

All of your work especially the 3D stuff is some of the best i have seen. Do you have any thoughts on selling some of it to other’s. The seat, su...

Re: A Light Railway for the Western Dales
Just been reading your thread and wow, what a brilliant layout. I know Morecambe and surrounding area’s fairly well, Nether Kellett and all, and the landscape is truly breathtaking, i particularly love the winter months around there and just a stones throw from the Lakes has well, you really do have...

Re: Recent Stuff on the FBGR
Thanks John (FBGR) for your reply and information, i went to a open day local to me Sunday and spoke with a member of the 16mm Association and he says he uses patio decking for his railway, so it’s some thing i will look into. Why isn’t Creosote sold anymore. I certainly hope your FBGR is still arou...

Re: MY BCATRR
Not much happening at the moment although i have come across this stuff, it only goes up to 45cm, just under 1’ 6” which for me would be to low, i guess i could buy some longer post’s so it would be at a better height of say 3’. There is also an option to buy some wider tops that will do a 3 metre l...

Re: Recent Stuff on the FBGR
What you do think of this stuff i have come across, https://www.filcris.co.uk/product/ladder-frame-kit-2--raised-kit-for-sm32-16mm-up-to-45-cm-high-ladder2 This is as high has they go with it, but i guess you could buy longer posts. It looks fairly easy to put up and there is some wider top boards a...

Re: 16mm and its relationship with other scales
Being new to 16mm i can see what most members are saying about the smaller scales, however has i have said in my introduction to the forum, i have nothing against other gauges one bit, i see it has everyone is running trains however they run them, wether that is live steam, battery or mains. Every s...

Re: MY BCATRR
Thank you tom_tom_go i will keep the acrylics, i do use them on my N Gauge stuff. Can you recommend a decent rail bender. Congratulations on fixing the pick-up, it looks to be a very nice model. Your garden shows great potential for a railway. Your options about track height above the ground are int...

Re: MY BCATRR
I have now repaired the Pick Up and it looks a lot better, DSCN2648.JPG DSCN2647.JPG DSCN2646.JPG DSCN2645.JPG That tram body looks very nice, hope you got it at a good price. If you really want to repair the wood-wood joints, I'd clean them back to bare wood ( both surfaces) and then use Evostick W...

Re: Dunitrong Locomotive Works
Hi, I love this trains of yours, do you recommend the PDF models like the EZ trains and IP, i think they are quite inexpensive and for some one like me who doesn’t have any lathes or drill stands or anything of that sort, would they be easy enough to do. I would like to have them r/c also, where wou...

" when it comes to model railways. 16mm works for me as I like the heft of the thing, and it is big enough that scratch building is not a microscope job. Sometimes I think it would be nice to model a large area in a smaller scale, but then I remember I am not that fond of building scenery. The...

Re: A Way In
I would like to answer your question if i may. I am new to this garden railway hobby and i think does it matter what gauge you run, it is all garden related or is it “only the big stuff” the proper gauge to run. It is like the smaller model gauges that i run, the OO boys some of them especially hate...
