Having had mine do this after just 6 fire ups I would Listen to Mike if I was you. I had the exact same problem and Mike said to take the jet out, fire gas backwards through it, reinstall using PTFE take, give it a 5 second count of just gas before you light it. and hey presto, it worked, no messing...

i think you just have to accept these things are luxury items and will cost what they cost, the demand is not massive and as such the price will always be high. Besides, its cheap compared to some hobbies that are about :D Not bad looking engines these two, but i think I would rather have some other...

Some of the Leaders have a problem with the superheaters springing up to the burner once they have been warm afew times. One way to solve this is to take the superheater out and bend it away from the poker burner. The other way (and I know a few who have done this sucessfully) is to get the loco up...
