Re: What to do with a Newquida loco

If the plastic of of the polythene family, very little, if anything will adhere to it, I have found that the only real solution when dealing with polythene products is to provide mechanical fixings, i.e. nut, bolts and screws.

Rik, love the sound, and having read your blog, I know details of "greeting card" sounds are there, still very clever, and as with all your work very impressed.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Hello! As a relatively rare treat, I've bought myself a kit to build, Lineside Hut's version of the Ffestiniog timber bolsters, which arrived today. First impressions are that there's an impressive amount of parts to put together, and that they seem well cut, but that for some reason the wagons are...

Tom, taps come as a set of three (or did when I was an apprentice) taper, second and plug, the taper for starting the thread, for through holes next use the second, and if a blind hole follow up with the plug. Threading steel need lubrication, any is better than nothing, and a final hint is one - on...

Re: Adhesive for concrete church model

I realise this is a slight thread drift, but having just "googled" SBR, i see it is a waterproof additive, would this also be suitable for concert, when used in conjunction with a water feature - sorry for the drift :) I'm not a builder but I would imagine it would be suitable. I'm going ...

Its a pity that the glazing in my coaches went cloudy for some reason, they were like that when I got them.
Might call it window tinting to keep the harsh Australian sun out, that'll explain it.
did you use any Cyanoacrylate, it is renown for fogging windows.

Re: TX24 transmitter

I use a TX24 for both steam and batter powered locos, using centre off function as well as the low off function. You can use any comparable rx with the TX24 but as mentions the Selecta function will only work on Deltang rx's. If you use a standard rx like I have done, including orange rx's, then it...

Those buffers etc are most impressive, no doubt about that, but I can't agree that Fusion 360 is easy to pick up. I've made a couple of attempts and got absolutely nowhere. I simply can't get my head around how to do it. We use it in school with 11 to 16 year olds (the sixth form use Inventor) most...

Re: TX24 transmitter

As Rik has pointed out this Tx is selecta enabled, and to enable the selecta to work, selecta will need to be enabled on the Rx, more than that and i am "out of my depth"
