I'dve thought pole shunting in such a small scale would be too fiddly to work. Fastening the pole to the loco though, never thought of that one.
They used to do something similar in the canefields, only pulling, with rope. Dangerous, and I'm told, illegal nowadays.

I tried the baking soda on my Simplex a while back, to similar effect. Not for me.

My ignorance of the prototype doesn't stop me seeing the craftsmanship you're putting into this.

Nice and practical, love the coffee shelf. I'd like to put something similar under a workbench one day, so storage yards like yours are always worth reading.

Not looking to win here, (there are much better shots already ) but this one does have the smallest creature so far.

I wonder if a bit of soft (spongy foam) padding might absorb the vibrations.

A set of clacks straddling the boiler top, along with suitable firebox-top pipework and stubby boiler fittings, might lend a little further "BR-Standardism" to it, but I'm really grasping at straws - you've made a fine job already.
