Re: No CHRISTMAS for Sodor!

Now I'm really ticked off! The latest Thomas adventures are having references to CHRISTMAS removed on "politically correct" grounds - in other words, the anti Christian immigrants are getting their own way again ! Please don't get me wrong - I'm no religious fanatic (far from it) a...

Accucraft Leader - Lining

A while back I posted up about putting radio control into my Accucraft leader, a job I was very pleased with, and before that I had asked about lining it out. Well at the weekend I sat down and decided I would start the lining process. I had purchased some water slide transfers which had been produc...

It depends how good you are with tinkering.... We had the same issue on a number of our mamod wheels sets. My step father re-drilled the wheels to a slightly larger bore to accept some round stock  (with a tight hammer or very tight press fit). He  slotted the end of that stock before putting it on ...

Awesome work, has given me the kick I needed to start doing my own, I have the wheels already purchased and the axles, even the buffers, so its just the wood bits and I like working with wood. Still got to learn the metal work, one step at a time :)

Well please do post up what you do, what you use and how you do it as I was thinking about doing that to mine, but had no idea how to even start. :)

Well at the moment I have 3 makes of track, AML, PIKO and LGB, they are all 332 profile and all seem to join up very well. OK so the sleepers are different but I am yet to see 2 identical real sleepers anyway, and after a couple of winters I dare say I shall never know the difference. It does appear...
