Sorry Steve, if this question seems ignorant, but if they're only five miles down the road, why don't you go knock on the door and find out what's going on? That's what I would do. Because I don't have anything on order from them, neither would I after reading others experiences on here. It's just ...

This really all is a shame as they are about 5 miles down the road from me. I can only think a company with such little respect for its customers no longer wishes to trade as it seems to be trying its hardest to really stuff people off! If its not trying to go out of business, its going the r...

Re: Loco Boxes update

Since my last post I received one email confirming my order on 15 Jan requesting my shipping address and saying my order would be a week and since then (1 month) nothing despite 3 emails requesting an update. Loco boxes do seem to be hard work!! You're clearly a forgiving man, I would have given up...

I would also go with red JST pre-wired connectors too, I use them all over the place. As for batteries, I have started using li-lo's, 3.7v each, a little bigger than an AA battery in length. These have really good capacities and take up less room for an overall pack. You can get from eBay, plastic b...

I really like it as it is too, but maybe thats because I have nothing as yet and appreciate anything anyone has done. I really do think it looks great and would do as Annie says.

Steve, Thanks for the advice, I don't have a lot of experience with these things. I did read as much as poss before going ahead, but personal experience is always valuable. Yep, I have a balance charger and have spoken to a tech adviser at Hobbyking ( who suppled both battery and charger) so am awa...

Not sure how much you have used li-po's, but I will say, NEVER fully charge it and then don't use it. Even if its just for a day, make sure its between 40% and 65% charged, anything else can cause major swelling of the pack or depending on temp of then charged and when stored, it can actually over c...

That must have taken ages, but the results are fantastic.  :D The amazing thing is, it's apparently only taken him three days! That would have taken me weeks! Mind you the chassis is going to have to all come apart again for paint. 3 days  I think I would be in the 3 week + bracket, thats so...

Dave's locos are great, however, for those of us who lack the ability to build from scratch I can recommend the RTR Regner Chaloner. No duck 'waddling' from my loco... Do you have any video of your Chaloner running as I have been interested in one of those loco's for quite some time but have never ...

New TX today for Jessica (Lady Marilyn) Well I today got my first RC Trains TX24. I love this compared to the Deltang version, which although practical leaves you with having to remember what each function does, which is fine for me, but if I let someone else borrow it they don't know. As you can se...

Dave. Still resolutely sticking with Windows 7! Hi Dave. Whilst I agree and understand your reasons for your actions, there will be a time that Windows 7 will be removed from support and it will have more security holes than Windows 3.1 . ;) It is for this reason that I went with Windows 10 instant...
