Re: New Station Building

it does seem like a lot of money though Phillip, unless you have a lot to make on it, which i presume you have with a garden layout and the cost of making it yourself against shop bought must be a lot less and of course you can customise it to be unique to you, purely one off that no body else will...

Re: Recent Stuff on the FBGR

I agree Phillip with the photos, it is simplicity it self, maybe the easiest i have come across on forum’s, you can select quite a few photos at the same time, i did six i think all at once and took no time to load, but tried a video and it didn’t want to know, unless of course i load it up to youtu...

Re: Recent Stuff on the FBGR

I have a FB account and yes it does have loads of rubbish on it, but you can block it, and since getting interested in garden railways i now have more groups to look at on garden railways and the rubbish seems to stop coming. It seems the more you like and read certain groups i.e. Garden Railways Gr...

Re: Otto bash

Great build Rik, can i ask a really stupid question, you say you have used cardboard for the running plates and other stuff, is this just templates for cutting out for the brass, i have never done anything like this before and i am wanting to have a go at a bit of scratch/ kit bashing myself. do you...

Re: New Station Building

You do get a (Blue Peter Badge) Phillip, that is some excellent work i must say, working a laptop out isa struggle for me haha, so 3D printing is a no go. All of your work especially the 3D stuff is some of the best i have seen. Do you have any thoughts on selling some of it to other’s. The seat, su...

Just been reading your thread and wow, what a brilliant layout. I know Morecambe and surrounding area’s fairly well, Nether Kellett and all, and the landscape is truly breathtaking, i particularly love the winter months around there and just a stones throw from the Lakes has well, you really do have...

Re: Recent Stuff on the FBGR

Thanks John (FBGR) for your reply and information, i went to a open day local to me Sunday and spoke with a member of the 16mm Association and he says he uses patio decking for his railway, so it’s some thing i will look into. Why isn’t Creosote sold anymore. I certainly hope your FBGR is still arou...
