Why have you used wilko primer ontop of the etch? This would mean you have used, a cellulose based etching primer, An oil based acrylic primer, And then a water based acrylic top coat ( if halfords top coat has been used ) This is why a reaction as occured, wilkos primer is crap. I notice you said you could top coat the same day, with etch primer this is not the case. It needs 24 hours drying time to work properly. Is it a plastic ball bearing? If so they sometimes can melt in their seat.

Well not alot has gotten done, but with the hydrulic test looming I had a session working on the loco. With the saddle tank off for painting and the boiler fittings out, the boiler has had a flush out ready for putting the fittings back in a resealing the boiler. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...

I have exactly the same plate, It now hangs on the wall. They are copies as said, I got mine for £7 but once painted up looks quite good.

I think Steve Warrington did a copy off of one of these copies a few years back too.
