I had a few problems getting the brass etched tub sides to fit with the cast whitemetal ends without leaving huge gaps I was recently talking with a fellow 16mm NGM Group member, and that's exactly what he said as well about his kit. Not seen one in the flesh - is this something that could be corre...

As commented on by a fellow 16mm NGM member last week regarding some of running in the latest 16mm NGM DVD - I was very conscientiously running my Roundhouse Alco at a typical scale snail speed as he was videoing it close in.

Good to hear it runs OK on 7.2V.

I've opted for 9.6V (8 cells), but have not found the workshop time yet to shoehorn all the R/C equipment plus sound card & speaker on-board.

Just to make things clearer, Don ( Boustrophedon ) is talking about a 2015 style Ragleth ( Mark II ), which is fitted with revised side tanks to allow more room for fitting Radio Control (not looked over one that closely, but presumably there is something R/C in the left side tank?), and has a verti...

I'm intrigued to read that powering up a 2.4GHz receiver first can cause unexpected/wild things to happen. This was certainly true of the previous 27Mhz/35Mhz/40Mhz/70Mhz systems which relied on crystals and were prone to interference from other sources to varying degrees. With the 2.4GHz systems my...

So this power switch needs to be in the on position in order ...

Thank You for your reply Brian.

When I first started looking to 'raise the bar' with my Garden Railway fleet, the modern 0-6-0 Lady Anne just did not do it for me, although these earlier meths fired locos were tempting, but not found one at the right price so far.

I would also recommend running a file over the axle to chamfer the ends, otherwise they can jam in the axleboxes. Roy W...
