I was watching that too, only out of interest to see what it sold for.
It has reappeared from the same seller, so something went wrong with the sale.
It is a nice looking loco which is possibly the promotional model from PDF Models?

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
For some time I have admired the hopper wagon from Swift Sixteen and the scratch-built ones which Rik has made. Recently I was reminded by an image of one and decided to make my own rather than pay the £50.00 asking price. So I found some white-metal side frames from my collection and made a chassis...

Just amazing Greg, I have seen views of your line but not fully understood the size, complexity and amount of structures etc. which all combine so well into the landscape. It must have felt like building the pyramids! I can appreciate how much effort is must have been just to keep on top of maintena...

Are you suggesting that Peter Butler is a maker of saggy roofs? How rude!🤣 The best one I know! I don't feel insulted in the least about being recognised as maker of the saggy roof! In fact Simon's photograph shows it off better than I have ever thought of it myself, so thank you Simon. What accola...

We need more like this...
When I first got involved with a narrow gauge modelling group, my friends introduced me to wonderful new experiences and locations I had never heard of before. One of these was the Cadeby Light Railway, Leicestershire, UK. This was a private collection of traction engines, steam rollers, steam and d...

For me it was the visitor information panel which confirmed my choice. I thought it unlikely such an item would appear on a period model.

I'm glad you found that useful Philip, I found it so easy to use and thought others might benefit from the idea too. It might be possible to have individual units, thereby removing the need for accurate distance spacing, as long as they are set on flat surfaces and at perfect right angles. Please re...

Many thanks to you Trevor and Dinah for hosting such a large gathering and allowing an opportunity to share your garden and railway. A slightly delayed beginning to our round of meetings due to the Welsh weather, but the blue skies in your pictures show how kind it was to us on the day. Some new mem...

Me neither. Despite having 16mm stock from portable layout exhibition use it never occured to me to build a garden railway until after the house renovation was complete. That was about 9 years later.

Hello Pharsical Phil, and thanks for your comment. You must be having sleepless nights if you are ploughing through my posts from so long ago, but I am grateful for your persistence. The crack (in waterproof tile cement powder with neat SBR mix) appeared in part of a building which was at the rear o...

No personal experience of Plateways kits, but 16 Mills kits are always a treat to build.

I don't do live steam and have no idea how it works, but I love to see the wonderful work of Grant so will be watching with interest.
Just to join in with the guessing game, I see a flexible connection between two articulated units... e.g. loco and tender?
