Well a couple more test prints done, one power bogie is roughly in the right place, the other hasn't been printed yet, but it's getting bigger.

I seldom clean my glass beds, just give them a scrape every so often with the scraper to remove any scraps of filament. I personally use "3D LAC", it's utter brilliant but expensive. Like Rik does, I have heard many many people have great success using cheap hair spray, though I admit to never having tried it myself.

You assume correctly, lucki!y enough I can print up to 300mm high so that fits the boiler in, just. However the footplate will need to be two pieces and bolted / glued together.
