Though I am never sure if it is the question, or the answer, which is wrong?
I'll get my coat. - And a really strong cup of tea..

Re: British businesses who won't sell to Canada
I think this is due to insurance restrictions? I have been refused insurance for RC Trains, because I answered 'yes' to do I sell to either the USA or Canada.. Unlimited liability, means the smaller companies can't / won't be able to get insurance.. I have a broker trying to get me an annual deal, r...

Re: Blog, Pictures, and Videos
Thank you Gentlemen!
Much to think about..
I am a bit of a luddite, but it looks like YouTube is a 'yes', and I need to have a look at the others..
Just need to find the time to make a start, and organise some content..

Blog, Pictures, and Videos
Hello everybody.. After reading the notice about storage limitations, it has given me the kick to think about where/how I keep things.. I am after suggestions as to where to create a Blog, store Pictures (for use in various forums) and Videos. - Should I actually video anything of worth. I assume Yo...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Lovely job, Peter..
I am 'supposed' to have built something for the National Show, on Saturday..
Spent a little on paint and glue, this weekend..
I am now at the usual 'fear of starting / failing' part..
I need a week of 36 hour days, this week.

Looks to be some interesting industrial archaeology on that line?
The sort of place I would have gone poking about, in my youth.

Re: Stuart's occasional loco thread - Boot Lane Works 'Lilibet'
What adhesive did you use when 'wrapping' the loco?
I find that thin plastic 'ripples' if you use solvent adhesive for this.
Thanks,

Re: Comparing Geared motors
Rik, there is a lot to work on here.. Firstly, I assume (by the tone) that the apparent 'pulsed' rotation, is an artifact of frame-rate and video compression? These motors may quieten down, and run better, if run for an hour or so, in each direction. Different motors 'prefer' different PWM frequenci...

If you only have a short length of clear hose: With Garden-hose, a short length of copper plumbing pipe will often fit inside, or you can buy a pair of hose-joints. - The repair type are normally cheaper.. You can cut your clear hose in half, and join these to your regular garden hose. Voila! A 30m ...

Rik,
If you want pictures of Berwyn, or 'the pigs' (the various orange painted loco's)..
These are at the WHHR, and I can get/take chapter and verse, for you.
Berwyn is now in the museum, for this season.

Answering both of you..
That sort of idea, but more of a point to the back.
Draw a semi-circle, grab the centre of the curve at the back, and 'pull' it outwards a little..

Headlamp housings
I have recently bought a railtruck kit, and it has a cross-piece with circular ends, with a hole for a LED. Think the older truck, with the lights sticking out either side of the bonnet. Does anyone know of a 3D print (possibly) of a parabolic housing, that these had? I just think it will lift the m...

The only 'numbered' screwdrivers I know of, are Post Office designations, but a 'Number 4' is a medium-width slot driver, with a longer shaft. - I would have thought this a little thick, in the blade, for this? I would think one of those cheap, small screwdrivers (used to be in a holder like a solit...
