Re: Time to build a railway...but where?

They certainly do Peter. You certainly are a master with HIP's, that is so professionally done. :salute:

I love them so much, can you make me two of them.... :lol :lol

Bargin Excelsior Bagnall

I could have sworn I put this up the other day, but I can't find it now. Still I am putting it up again because it was still for sale yesterday for about £150 and did write that if I had the money it would be in my collection, but alas money being tight now it's out of my reach. Anyway I got an emai...

Have done Rod. Please note though that it probably only fits this one variety of motor/gearbox. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006734665217.html spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.2c23f19cXMuIuf Thanks Philip, :thumbright: I have a couple of those very same motors but at the lower revs...

Thats the joy of working with HIP and using a razor saw blade to make it look like wood. You can get some really realistic effects so it can look like old weathered wood. :thumbright:

Re: Quarry Hunslet

Thats really neat Philip. Have you made the housing box yourself. It great for protecting the gears from all the rubbish that gets picked up when running the locos. :thumbright: Thanks Rod. Yes, the gearmotor housing is custom drawn & printed. In three parts, the body in two halves glued togeth...

I can really see how you have been able to make your line to be incorporated with the pond Drew. It’s going to be a great little line and I can see your better half letting you extend your line and create another masterpiece.👍

Re: The (Windmill Hill) Welsh Highland Railway

Rampant campanula was my problem this year. Rampant moss is mine... I'm thinking of starting an export business - using rail transport of course, if I can clear enough of it to allow the trains to run! Oooh, I'm imagining something like the Irish peat lines, maybe with those rustic looking wooden c...

Its great being able to get to run something isn't Andrew after all the flipping rain we have had. I have a problem with my bridge at the moment so a full run around the line isn't possible for now, but I will do a short video of a battery soon hopefully. :thumbright:

Re: It's a Sign!

Hi Andrew, When my Dad used to get his wagons sign written the guy used to chalk out the sign first and then use that bit of stick that has a piece of cloth wrapped around it. He had many different sizes of those because some letters were really small, like the bottom of the doors on my Dads cabs w...
